SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah prosecutors have documented assault charges against a University of Southern California football player who is likewise under scrutiny for an asserted California rape including the same casualty.
Charging records say Utah powers blame Osa Masina for sexually striking a lady July 25 who was passed out in a Salt Lake City suburb.
Masina is accused of one check of assault and two tallies of persuasive homosexuality.
Masina's lawyer Greg Skordas did not promptly give back a phone message Thursday looking for input on the charges.
Court records show Masina and colleague Don Hill are likewise under scrutiny for an affirmed rape July 14 at an off-grounds flat in California.
USC suspended Masina and Hill on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old Masina is an Utah local who played at Brighton High School.
